Most gate valves are sealed by force, that is, when the valve is closed, the gate must be pressed against the valve seat by external force to ensure the tightness of the sealing surface

the selection principle is:
1. Stop valves should be selected on pipelines or devices with high temperature and high pressure media. Such as thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, high-temperature and high-pressure pipelines of petrochemical systems
2. On the pipeline with lax requirements for convection resistance. That is, where the pressure loss is not considered much
3. Small valves can be needle valve, instrument valve, sampling valve, pressure gauge valve, etc
4. There is flow regulation or pressure regulation, but the requirement for regulation accuracy is not high, and the pipeline diameter is relatively small. For example, on the pipeline with nominal diameter ≤ 50mm, it should be selected
5. High pressure angle stop valve or high pressure angle throttle valve with nominal pressure P 6n160, nominal pressure 16MPa or pn320, nominal pressure 32Mpa should be selected for small and large chemical fertilizers in the production of synthetic industry
6. In the desilication workshop in the production of alumina Bayer process, it is easy to choose the valve body separation type, valve seat testable machine. It is a common DC stop valve or DC throttle valve with cemented carbide sealing pair that is removed by the laboratory machine
